I think I can, I think I can. . .

Just a quick post this time as this weekend is crazy (the boys are in the bath, so I don't have much time, but as long as I hear both voices I should be fine).

Gigi is off in Chicago for the first residency of her PhD program (it's actually a EdD, but more people understand PhD in terms of significance of the degree and scope of the work etc), so I am playing the role of super dad. Well, we are half way through the "weekend without mom" (mother's day weekend of all weekends), and I am pleased to report no lost kids, injuries, or deaths.

Yesterday Garek and I went golfing while Gavin was at school, played a little XBox, and this morning we had the first round of U6 and U8 Soccer (Garek is on a U6 team, and I am helping coach Gavin's U8 team). Boys are in the bath (as previously mentioned) and then we are off to Mankato so the boys can go to a friend's house while I am at the dress rehearsal for the Mankato Symphony. Tomorrow I have the Symphony Concert, and Grammy and Grumpy (Gina and Jim) are going to take the boys since the boys have season tickets to the Symphony.

Concert should be good, Music of Brahms and other Composers who were deeply influenced by the Music of the Gypsies, with two awesome soloists who are brothers (Eric and Colin Jacobsen) and typically tour with Yo-yo Ma. To find out more, check out the Symphony's Website.

I think we will be fine (or at least that's what we will tell Gigi- Love you, since I know you are reading this instead of doing your homework). This weekend it was my turn, next weekend is hers, when I go off on the Annual Dobo Fishing Trip.
