Apostrofairies...
So if you don't know what that is, let me illustrate. So Gavin has new spelling words this week. They are all contractions. So I ask him to spell you're. He says: "Y-O-U-apostrofairy R-E" Good job Gavin (No correcting the apostrofairy). Gavin can you spell we'll? He says: "W-E-apostrofairy-L-L." This time I thought I should maybe point out how to say apostrophe. SO Gavin repeats it after me very well: "Apostrophe." Okay, I figure we can continue so I ask him to spell we've. Gavin says: "W-E-apostrofairy-V-E." Needless to say, I was glad he was spelling the words right, so we went through 14 words with him saying apostrofairy. Now Matt and I almost forget to say it right! After a couple of days of practice, he now says apostrofairy every other word or so, as he is learning to say apostrophe. But as I think about it, it will be sad when we don't get to hear "apostrofairy" anymore.

That's so cute!!
Apostrofairy is a much nicer word than apostrophe. I think we should keep it.
