A weekend in Duluth
We were in Duluth this past weekend. We were there to go to Jenny Fabek's wedding, but did a few other things as well! Friday was mom Dobo (Dianne's) Birthday, so although we got there pretty late, we actually got to give her hugs and good wishes in person! On Saturday morning the boys went on a walk through Lincoln Park with Grandma and Grandpa while Matt and I ventured up around Pike Lake so I could ride the path that will be used for the triathlon there in August. (I really hope it is not so windy...but I know it is Duluth and probably will be). On Saturday afternoon we went to Jenny and Jake's wedding. It was very nice, Tim Kittleson presided and sis in law Jody sang at the wedding. All four of the little Dobo boys were well behaved too! We went and hung out at the Dobosenski's between the wedding and reception. The reception was at the DECC and it was elegant. Jenny and Jake looked so very happy! Gavin, Garek and Kaleb spent a lot of time watching boats in the harbor and dancing to Dr. Kielbasa (the polka band). Finally around 11 or so we brought very exhausted boys back to grandma and grandpa's to sleep. On Sunday morning we went to church at Holy Family and then I went down to run on the boardwalk. When I got back, Grandma, Grandpa, Jake, Jody, Matt, myself and all the boys went to a Greek festival down at the Greek Orthodox Church in Duluth. We ate some really yummy Greek food. Afterwards we all went down to the lakewalk and the boys spent a lot of time throwing rocks in the lake. (I am hoping sis in law Jody will post some of our Minnesota Beach pictures). Jake, Jody, Matt and I also went out to dinner together. Matt and I do not go out very often, and in Duluth we have some of the best babysitters (Grandma and Grandpa). We are really thankful they like to spend time with the boys so we have a few moments to ourselves occasionally. After dinner, we had cake for Dianne's birthday and headed home. It was a long and busy weekend, but it was really really great!!
