On Friday July 18- Saturday July 19, we participated in the Blue Earth County Realy for Life in Mankato as Team Dobo. Our friend T. helped us out and Jake, Jody, Kaleb and Ian joined us along with some of Jody's family: Gary (her dad), MaryJo (her mom), Amanda (her sis), and cousins Phil, Matt and Sami. In addition my mom (Grammy) joined us for part of the evening. There is a great survivor ceremony at the beginning, and there are activities to keep teams awake all night long (although you will see part of our team did snooze in the wee hours of the morning). At 6 AM on Saturday, when it was all finished we were more than happy to head to our house for a nap and then some good ole beef brisket from the grill. Thanks to all those who helped us by participating or donating. The American Cancer Society is a great organization to donate to!
