Matt and I had a nice anniversary dinner at the local fancy restaurant....a town of 10,000 people, not many choices. I must say Richards is VERY good! They have their own chef and they change their menu frequently! Yum. Because I spent most of the night before in the emergency room...turns out I had kidney stones...I was very tired, so dinner was about all I could manage, but I guess this is part of the "in sickness and in health" part of marriage. I was just glad that it did not turn out to be appendicitis like they first thought when I came in, that would have meant a surgery on our 10 year! My kidneys are feeling better finally, although I have noticed I am not yet "up to snuff."
On Saturday and Sunday we had some snowy and blowy weather! Matt did venture down to Mankato to pick up a snowblower, however, as we shoveled about three times on Friday, and two already Saturday morning before he went to 'Kato. The boys and I worked on some Christmas presents. Sunday was cold as well, and after church we made Christmas treats and Gavin had a Christmas play at 6 PM. He was a cute little Shepard in a production called "All I Want is Jesus!" I will try and add pictures next week.
Monday we cleaned and ran some errands, and Matt and I had the opportunity to play with thew New Ulm Choirs. It was fun, and the boys did a good job behaving while both mommy and daddy had to be on stage. I think Santa threats work well at this time of year! :)
Today we had lunch with our friend T., opened family gifts and packed up for a venture North. Tomorrow we look forward to our trek to see family and hope weather is not too hard on us.
I am going to try and avoid the computer for the next few days, so I will catch up with you all after Christmas!

Good luck with those kidney stones! I had a large stone several years ago and was unfortunate that it got stuck and would not pass...ended up needing surgery to get it out... OUCH!!!
Luckily, no surgery was needed, although it seems like it took forever!
