Neighbors...

As some of you may have noticed, in my 101 list I had the task of having the neighbors over for dinner. Since we moved in late summer last year, and many neighbors hibernate during the winter we did not have a chance to do a lot of neighborhood socialization. As it happens, this worked out for us on June 1. It was a beautiful Minnesota Day in the low 80's, all day the boys were running around outside and playing in the water etc. we grilled up some beer brats and chicken legs-yum. As dinner time rolled around there were still several neighborhood boys hanging out and we ended up with a few extra guests. Matt got an early father's day gift- a fire pit. So we gathered around that and roasted marshmallows. In good MN fashion you will notice that we needed sweatshirts by the time the evening rolled around. I am happy to say that this will not be a one time only check off my tasks, but at least it opened the door to more neighborhood dinners.
