Even though I had a few reports to finish up for a board meeting on Thursday and a paper due for class this evening, Matt convinced me to play "hooky" and go golfing with Matt and the boys. As usual, it takes us about 2 1/2 hours to golf nine holes with the little people. Therefore I just finished my paper at 11 PM.
While golfing, I did not feel like there were any par 24 holes this time around, and I actually made it to the green in 2 swings on one of the holes, so all in all I feel that I am improving. (Although Matt can probably attest to the fact that I get a bit perturbed when I hit over the green.) The boys also did some good hitting today although Garek has a new phrase (I am trying to figure out where he learned it from): "What the ?" He only says the words "what" and "the," but it seems like he is imitating an adult who refrains from swearing. Now I know I do not say that, so maybe he has been golfing too often with daddy or he has been hanging out with the neighborhood kids. He used the phrase when he would swing and miss the ball or hit it in a direction he did not expect, so it is actually kind of funny when he says it. I am hoping he has not learned any words to finish off that phrase.
Sorry no pics for this post, we did not take our camera as it appeared it could rain at any moment (though it did not).

Well at least he's only saying the first two words!! A lot less embarassing in public...
That made me laugh because Anthony has said that before too...or "what the heck?" but the funny one is.... "Holy Shoot!" No idea where he came up with that, but they way he says it is just hysterical!
Oh and by the way....anthony and mom and I are coming to MN! We're only going to be in rochester half the time and the cities half the time but maybe we can figure out a way to get together and let the boys play! (July 29-Aug6)
This whole conversation reminds me of Gavin's newest phrase too...anytime he does not like something he says "Tartar Sauce." This is definately something he picked up in school.
Katie- we will have to figure out a get together.
My favorite thing Anthony said was when he told day to "eat his own da*$ toe nails."
Just reading the other posts and had to add my suggestions. Maybe on that Sunday we can have people over at our house for a pool party and BBQ. (That's on my 101 list.) :)
