Garek is giving tips to Sarah on flying kites
A VISIT FROM GRAMMY AND GRAMPY (APRIL 5)
Grammy and Grampy came down to hang out with Garek on Sunday April 6, while Matt and I brought Gavin to a meeting for First Communion. Because we were quarantined during the time Garek was to have his family birthday celebration, Grammy and Grampy brought Garek's B Day present. Notice, that he received star wars legos and clothes. I point out the clothes in the box, because in Garek's mind, all he got were the star wars legos :) (Notice they were even wearing the right shirts for the occasion).
VIOLIN RECITAL (APRIL 8)
On Tuesday Gavin and Garek had a violin recital. This was Garek's first time on stage. He did a beautiful bow and Gavin played the twinkle variation A and the twinkle theme. They both were great! We will put a video clip in here, but for now, some cute pics....
Garek waits in "the wings" for his turn
Gavin waits for his turn
Gavin- what a cheesy smile
Garek starts his Beautiful bow-
down..2..3,
up..2..3,
smile..2..3
Okay, so I only got through last Tuesday on this post. I will post more later.

I was wondering where you've been! Looks like you guys have been really busy, so that explains how the blogging got away from you!
. . . I would like to point out that it is much more than just some simple painting (yes, we are repainting so the colors represent their true rendering intent given the lighting, and in many cases the general color of a wall isn't changing that much - other than the riddance of the ugly baby poo green tint in every color)
Go back and look at the pics and you might start to notice a few other changes as well (what do you think of the new faucet I installed) and other finishing touches- new tile back splashes etc etc.
What we are finding is that our house was built on the premiss of "cheap as possible, while meeting code (at least on the surface)" which in many cases means that short cuts and liberties were taken, which will eventually result in badness over time if not corrected.
So, yes the faucet looks nice compared to the old one, but what you can't see is that the way the old drain was installed, they used silicon caulk instead of plumber's putty to set the drain, which blocked the holes that allow the overflow prevention to work properly, so had the boys left the sink running with the drain closed, we would end up with water everywhere. Now it works right- and looks good.
More pics to come as walls are painted.
Actually, I did notice the faucets, b/c that's one of the projects I want to undertake for our master bathroom -- get rid of our hidious gold faucets and light fixtures. Yours are very nice!!
