We live and we learn!

We learned a few things this weekend!

It takes longer to make Grape Jelly than it does Strawberry Jam! (But now we have both!)

We learned that soccer games in September seem to be hotter than the ones in July (at least this weekend).
The other thing we have learned is that digging trenches for your sprinkler system is much easier with a machine called a "trencher." After two days of backbreaking and blister inducing labor, Matt rented a trencher from the local rental center! Wow, he did more trenches in 2 hours with that thing than we did in about 10 previous hours of work! So now as I type with sore arms and blistery palms, we have decided we love the Rental Center. (Matt thought of the rental center at 3:30 pM on Saturday and they closed at 3 PM, so then we thought we would at least do as much as possible by hand before Monday when they opened again). We may have beter spent our time doing our Tomato canning! Needless to say, we both have had quite the workouts this past couple of days, and even involved the boys. We are hoping to show sod pictures by the end of next weekend. Anyone who would like to come help sod is more than welcome to come and visit! :)
